The information on this page constitutes Massif Good's terms and conditions. By placing an order with Massif Goods, you have accepted these terms and conditions.

warranty

The reason that I design and make is to create pieces that make you happy and that you love to live with. To this end, I stand by and guarantee the workmanship of all pieces I make for ten years after purchase. All pieces are carefully designed to stand the test of time, with special care given to the fact that wood is a natural material that expands and contracts. I want you to love your Massif Goods piece, so I will always strive to make it right in the event an issue does come up.
However, I cannot warranty against daily wear and tear on wood furniture and objects. This includes damage due to improper usage, customer repairs, or damage to finishes. Direct sunlight can change the color of wood furniture, and I always recommend the use of coasters when placing hot or potentially wet items on furniture. Unless explicitly noted, all pieces are meant to be used indoors.
In the event that damage does occur to a piece due to normal wear and tear, please contact me! I will work with you to come up with a plan to repair any damage and get your piece back in action!

do you offer samples?

Yes I do, please contact me to find out more. Sample packs can be customized based on what you are looking for. Sample pack cost depends on number of samples.

is it possible to order a custom piece or customize an existing piece?

Absolutely! I love to make new things, whether that's a bespoke piece that you've been dreaming about or putting a new twist on something I've already made. Get in touch here to get the ball rolling on anything custom!

will my piece look exactly like it does in the online images?

Because wood is a natural material that varies from tree to tree and even within the same tree, I cannot guarantee that all pieces will look the same or like example images. However, what I can guarantee is that I will hand select each board of lumber for each piece and arrange wood grain in a way that I love. I'm not here to make things that I don't love!
The benefit of the natural variation of wood is that every piece is one of a kind. No one else will have the same grain pattern and color on their piece that you do on yours!
Also, please note that wood will change color over time due to exposure to light and oxygen. This is natural and is a beautiful reminder of time spent with a piece and memories made.

what payment options do you accept?

I accept all major credit and debit cards.

what's your lead time?

For small objects available through the online shop, lead time is up to 2 weeks.
For furniture or custom objects, lead time will be communicated before the 50% deposit is due. Current lead time is 6-8 weeks.

what are your shipping options?

Customers are always welcome to pickup their pieces at the shop and get a tour!
Free local delivery is available within 30 minutes drive of Cape Elizabeth, ME on orders more than $200.
Small objects will be shipped via USPS. These shipments will be fully insured and tracking will be provided.
For larger pieces, the shipping carrier will depend on the size of the piece and destination, but I will always use a carrier that I trust to deliver your piece in perfect condition. Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping. This cost will be made clear through either the online store or in the invoice.

what is your return policy?

Returns can only be accepted for damage that occurs during shipment, as every piece is made to order and custom. In the event that a shipment arrives with external damage to the box, please document this by taking images of the box and the shipping label. This is needed to file a claim with the shipper.

how does the order and build process work?

For small objects available through the online shop, the process is easy! Place your order online and I will make it ship it out within 2 weeks.

For furniture or custom objects, the process is a little different. The first step is to have a conversation about what you would like. Once I've got all the information I need, I will do any design work required, then send a quote. Please note that certain design work will require a design deposit. This amount will count towards the eventual cost of the finished piece. Upon acceptance of the quote, a deposit of 50% of the quote will be due. Deposits are refundable within 7 days. After this point, deposits cannot be refunded. When the deposit goes through, I begin the process of making your piece! Finally, before the piece is shipped or delivered, the final 50% will be due.
