I’ve always loved the form of these candle holders, a block with two fully rounded ends, 90° opposed. With the rounded ends being rotated like this, it creates a shape with one continuous edge that wraps all the way around.

When putting a candle into this shape, it at first reminded me of the classic candle holder with a dish and a finger loop handle. In this version, though, the dish is gone and the mass of the rounded end becomes a place to grab instead of a finger hole.

It was only when I put two next to each other that it became clear that I had created shoes for the candles. I think I like it more that way.
